Parking Lot by Causeway, Saturday Afternoon

Even though it was just a short trip to Arlington, Zero had stocked Dave with snacks, a cooler full of drinks, and entertainment--such as 'Teach Yourself Guitar' and 'Drumming Made Easy.' Now all she needed was the band.

Dear squall, she hoped the band showed up.

"Get a room!" Parker shouted. "You're not including Dave in your threesome, she's underage! I will *so* get you arrested if you demoralize our van!"

Anders blinked at her innocently. "Parker, would I seriously do that to poor Dave?"

"Maybe not you, but the Kissing Bandit here? Pffftttt." Parker rolled her eyes. "Do your big movie-finale good-bye you big drama llamas, and then get in the van, will you? Sheesh."

She glared at Bel for good measure, then stomped back to talk to Zero.

"Don't get your panties in knot, Parker," Bel said. "I'm just seeing him off. Your van is safe."

Anders smirked at him. "Maybe if I get arrested again . . ."

"Might be a price if I have to save your ass from jail again," Bel said.

Anders grinned at him. "I promised Phoebe I wouldn't, anyway. Make it up to you later?"

"You certainly will," Bel growled lowly.

"Was planning on it," Anders drawled, just before he attempted to sneak in another kiss.

Bel added a discrete grope. "Better get going before Parker has a coronary," he said.

"All right, all right," Anders replied. "I'll see you guys when I get back tonight?"

Bel nodded. "See you when you get back."

Anders bit his lip as something occurred to him. "Or . . . maybe tomorrow if I get in really late. Don't want to have to knock and bother you and Phoebe."

"That your way of asking for a key?" Bel asked, raising an eyebrow.

Anders's cheeks turned a little red. "I wasn't planning on it," he said, "but that'd be kinda nice."

"I'll . . . talk to Phoebe about it," Bel said.

"That'd be nice," Anders said, with a momentary flash of Huge Goofy Grin. "Right. Um . . . see you later, then."

"Have fun," Bel said. "But not too much fun."

"No having too much fun without you, got it," Anders said, then winked at him and headed off.

Suddenly glad he'd worn these jeans.
