Even though it was just a short trip to Arlington, Zero had stocked Dave with snacks, a cooler full of drinks, and entertainment--such as 'Teach Yourself Guitar' and 'Drumming Made Easy.' Now all she needed was the band.

Dear squall, she hoped the band showed up.

Anders . . . would be really, really impressed by that. You know, if he could tell. Which he couldn't given Chad's skill in that department.

It helped a lot that no one really expected him to ever say much in the first place, so they thought he was just being him, and not him being short-spoken.
