Around the Dorm, Saturday Morning

A petite girl with bright pink hair and eclectic clothes went to and fro, carrying her things across the lawn and upstairs to room 220. Occasionally she would stop to swear, kick something, or rest for a few minutes. Throughout the whole process a pink cockatoo sat on her shoulder, offering occasional helpful commentary such as, "ARE YOU MY MUMMY?"

"220. So not the fifth floor or somethin'. So, Conner, how're you likin' Fandom so far?"

"It's pretty awesome, so far. Workshops have been fun, there are lots of pretty girls --" he ignored the glare from Anders -- "and the people are cool. So far, nothing to complain about."

"Nothin' weird goin' on, then? No..." Zero snickered for some reason. "Gremlins?"

"No!" Anders cut in suddenly. "No gremlins! Unless you count the basketball team mascot name."

"Oh, well then it sounds like things are all borin' here. Maybe I should just go back to Flange?"

Anders grinned. "Are there Jello dragons in Flange?"

"Well, no," Zero admitted. "And if I'm in Flange I can't keep Peter from breaking any more limbs or torment you. So I guess I'm stayin'."

"Good. We like you here," Anders told her. "Even with the tormenting me and all, which seems to be going around these days."

"I like me here, too. If other people are tormentin' you too much, just give me a call an' I'll mallet 'em, yeah?"

Anders considered that for a moment. "Tempting, but no malleting my ex-girlfriend, okay?"

"Wait wait wait, ex-girlfriend? What?"

"She dumped me two weeks ago."

"What the squall? Why'd she go an' do a thing like that?"

Anders shrugged. "Frak if I know. Some crap about it being for my own good, or something. And I think it might possibly have turned both of us gay. Sort of. Maybe."

"Riiiiight. Clearly I can never leave Fandom for any appreciable length of time ever again. So," Zero gestured to Conner and back to Anders, a questioning look on her face.

Conner just coughed. "Yeah. Hi."

"Treat him right or I'll hit you with a croquet mallet. Yeah?"

Conner? Somehow not up to arguing with the pink-haired girl. "Got it. Right."

And Zero did a one-eighty into a little ball of sunshine. "Okay, swerval. Thanks for carryin' my stuff, Daisy, and Conner, it was very nice to meet you and thanks for carryin' my stuff also."
