Zero waits on the front steps of the school for Parker. They really need to get a move on if they're going to beat traffic on the mainland and pick up the puppy on time.

Parker makes a kissy-face at The Puppy before she can stop herself. Then she gingerly takes him and can't help but stroke his head and scratch behind his ears, holding him carefully. "Hey fella," she whispers. "Want a new home?"
She blinks after a second, and regains her composure. "He's certainly friendly enough."
"They're very social." *affectionate grin at Zero and her swarm* "As you can see. Wee Skanky?"
*Zero straightens up* Oh, right. *digs around in her bag until she comes up with a roll of bills* Here you go. Are there papers? *goes back to praising a puppy's ickle nose before he answers*
'Fraid not. Fish'd peck me to death if I brought a puppy home for keeps. *skritches The Puppy's chin, then looks up at Parker* We'd better head back, yeah?
