Zero and Peter's Apartment, LA, Latish Monday Night

After getting off the phone with Parker, Zero had gotten inspired to Do Something to her hair. She'd been blonde for far too long, by her reckoning. So she'd gotten into her hair dye collection and locked herself in the bathroom for a few hours. With the vent fan on; she didn't want to actually die of dye.

She emerged with, well, really different hair.

((SO. I was poking around on hollow_art and lo and behold, I found...Zero! Only real. Zero only real is portrayed by Katie B., lead singer of Canadian band the Jakalopes.

Establishy, but open if you wish to the boyfriend, or to anyone who might wish to call or e-mail Zero. Whee!))

Peter was looking at a bunch of maps, still trying to work out the best ways to webswing around the city (and its outlying areas). He was trying to be smart about this. He didn't want to end up stranded somewhere and have to ask directions. That would make him look silly.

When Zero came out of the bathroom, he looked up. "Oh, hey, that's a little different. It looks good."

Zero tilted her head forward to look at her own hair. "I was sick of blonde. How's it goin'?"

"Better now that you're in the room," Peter said. "That means I can stop doing my homework about routes and heavy crime areas and all that stuff."

"Yes," Zero agreed, "and instead you can make out with your girlfriend."

"I love living here," Peter said, pushing his maps off the table and patting the seat on the couch next to him as an invitation.

"I love having you here," Zero said, and perched on the couch next to Peter. "Hi!"

"Hello," Peter said. He kissed her briefly and ran a hand through her hair. "I also love your hair."

"It needed changin'," Zero said. "Yours is pretty cute, too. Even if it is...brown," she teased.

"Hey, I'm a brown-haired kind of guy, what can I say?" Peter said with a smile.

"And I'm a rainbow-haired kinda girl," Zero said. She grinned. "There's a song in that, I think."

"It sounds like a hit to me," Peter said. "I'd put it on my iPod."

Zero giggled. "Yeh, but you're obligated."

"I'd also be getting it for free," Peter said. "But I'd really be putting it on mainly because the singer is hot."

"If that's your only criteria," Zero joked, "I really need to start policin' your iPod for taste."

"It's not my only criteria," Peter assured her. "I also have a 'no country' rule."

"Well, I'd hate to have to throw you out," said Zero, whose own iPod was in fact home to no fewer than twenty versions of 'Jolene.'

It was a thing.

"And even if I did have any country, I can guarantee that it would only be because the song title made me laugh," Peter added. "Just getting that on the record."

"Of course it is, hooskspider," Zero said, and leaned over to give him a quick kiss. "Hypothetically."

Peter returned with another kiss, then asked, "So, do you have any hypothetically embarrassing music on your iPod that you'd like to hypothetically share?"

"None of my music is embarrassing," Zero insisted. "'m a musician, I am." A beat. "Okay, I have a copy of "I'm Your Cuddlebug" by Little Davey and the Sterlings, but you already know the story behind that."

"Yes I do," Peter said. "Come on, nothing worse than that? Not even in a 'so bad it's good' way?"

"Even if there was I'll never tell," Zero vowed. "I have a rep to uphold."

"I'll get it out of you somehow," Peter said. "I have ways of making you talk."

"'m so scared," said Zero.

"You should be," Peter said. And then he tried to tickle her tummy.

"No!" Zero squealed. "Mean!"

"You're adorable when you're being tickled," Peter said. So he kept it up.

"I'm not adorable, 'm a punk!" Zero protested. Adorably.

"An adorable punk," Peter amended.

"I'll accept that," Zero decided. Then she lunged in a valiant attempt to tickle Peter.

"Oh no you don't," Peter said as he leaped to the ceiling. "Truce?"

"That's cheating," Zero complained. "Fine. Truce."
