Music Room, Saturday Morning

Zero opened the door to the music room and peered inside. "Hello? If I'm not supposed to be here, someone kick me out now." Nothing happened immediately, so she carried her guitar in, then went back for the coffee.

Let the rehearsing begin.

"No...." Agnes admitted. "Chad told me about it and said he'd show me."

"Would you like to see it now? I have it here on my laptop, if you want to get a look at it." She glanced over at Chad, and smiled back at Agnes. "Although I'm sure Chad would know how."

Agnes blushed furiously at the implication that might have been implied or might have been entirely in her head.

"I'd like to see it if you can show me now," she said to eliminate the idea that she'd rather have Chad do it for any sort of, oh... personal reasons.

Parker opened up her laptop, and surfed to the site. "The things I wrote, I made up from what little I knew of you," she cautioned Agnes. "So they're not public, and we can change it before next week. It's just a sample of the kind of thing that might be on there, if it were true."

She clicked on a URL, and there it was.

Agnes leaned over to read what Parker had on this site of hers and blinked. "How did you get that picture of me?" she asked before finishing reading the mini-bio.

"Some of the ones I took around the school had you in them. This was from that first day-- I cropped out Zero, she should be standing next to you." Parker shrugged. "If you don't like it, we can use another one? And frankly, I made up your favorite operas. Or we can put something else there that's more important, if you want." She considered the photo. "I kind of liked this one because you were smiling. And your hair was doing the in-the-wind thing."

"No. It's alright. I just didn't expect to see myself there." She scrutinized the image and ignored Perdita's many criticisms of the picture. "Those sound suitably operatic and people probably won't know the ones from my home anyway."

"Cool." Parker grinned. "And you don't mind the witchiness line? It's not something half the people out there will believe, but after what you did to Joxer, I couldn't resist."

"I don't mind at all. Half the job is just making sure people know that you might do something dreadful."

"Perfect, then." Parker hit SAVE in Dreamweaver and stretched out her fingers. "I'm probably going to mess with the colors, and add links to it, and as soon as we have reviews they'll go up, but for now, this is what it's basically going to look like." She cocked her head. "Which day is better for you next week, Friday or Saturday?"

Colors, links, reviews. Right. She could pretend she understood. "Either day is fine for me although Friday is better for my mun."

Parker nodded, and typed that into her Blackberry, and said, "It's probably up to GOB but we'll shoot for Friday if we can anyway. Or he might ask for *another* song from you guys, if he gives us the night he doesn't want us to have."

"It can't be any worse than The Hedgehog Can Never Be Buggered At All," Agnes said with a smile. "Which was my audition song in Ankh-Morpork."

Parker stared at her a moment in horror, then cracked up. "Seriously? And it worked? Wow. That's-- a different audience." She thought of some of the guys around Fandom. "Or, you know. Not."

Gah, code. Agnes ducked her head, remembering the reception that particular choice had received. "It wouldn't have, but there's my voice. I've learned since then."

Parker smiled a little more, and said, "Your audition piece for this band was great. And yeah, you do have the kind of voice that can overcome any material. Although I think I'd like to hear that song someday." She grinned. "Zero's music is good enough to give you room to stretch, I think."
