Zero had chucked most of the mess into her closets and covered Fish's cage. On top of the dresser was an array of takeout containers from Ching Tai: rice, spring rolls, dumplings, Kung Pao shrimp and Sichuan chicken, along with other selections. Chopsticks and forks for the less brave were sitting nearby, and ginger beer was chilling in the fridge, which could also provide milkshakes if anyone wanted those instead.

Now all she needed was the rest of the band.

((Closed to the band people. Minimal OCD going up. All right, have at it. This was supposed to go up earlier, but Comcast thought it would be cute to shut off my cable for maintenance.))

I'm being dragged out for real food myself, so I'll be back in about an hour.

Chopsticks, a massive heap of everything on his plate (after everyone else had already helped themselves, so he didn't accidently not leave enough of something for someone else), and ginger beer. Chad was all set. And quite pleased. He was also rather eager to see who else was in the band, since he hadn't gotten a chance to talk to anyone about it yet and was utterly clueless.

Agnes looked dubiously at the very unfamiliar food, but took a few things that smelled good and put them on her plate and a ginger beer.

And a fork.

No, but we can handwave Nadia grabbing her from her room, as Nadia-mun and I arranged.

Parker brought a 12-pack of Diet Coke, and wasn't planning on drinking *all* of it. "Hey, Zero. Thanks for buying the Chinese. Anyone? Have at the soda."

Parker handed around the contracts. "Yeah, that one? Is standard in bands like these." She pointed out a few other things, then said, "Two things I want to stress: one. This is Zero's band. You have a problem with the band? Take it to Zero. I'm the one you talk to if you need bail, rehab, a lawyer, an alibi, or a really good pair of shoes." She grinned, although she was mostly serious.

"Second thing. If you happen to write an original song, and want it performed by the band? Run it by Zero. Any songs you write are yours, not the band's, but whether or not they get performed by the band is up to her. You guys are going to be doing covers as well as original stuff, so hopefully there's room for that here."

Agnes smiled and waved back. "Good, even if I'm going to be living behind a dictionary for the next couple of months because of Dr. Wilson."

"You. Rock." Parker grinned, then opened up the ginger beer and raised it high. "To the next great East Coast band-to-be."

"He talks about dee en ay and Aristotle and orkyectomies," Agnes said, stumbling a little over the unfamiliar terms. "I don't know what half of what he's talking about is."
