Barnes & Noble in Alexandria, Saturday Afternoon (NFB due to distance)

As the group entered the store, they were greeted by a crowd of women, all waiting to meet Angelica Demesnes. Large tables held copies of all her books for those who hadn't brought their own, including the brand-new Crown Diamond. Zero gleefully snatched up a copy of her very own.

((Due to Parker's connection woes, there will be no travel post. Come one, come all!))

"Zero? What kind of a name is that?" Angelica asked, but she did as she was told. "I do hope you're enjoying my books..." Angelica glanced up at Zero and trailed off. "Er. Young lady."

"My kind of name. I love your books," Zero said cheerfully, her hand inching toward her newly-signed copy of Crown Diamond.

"So glad to hear that," Angelica said. "Enjoy them, now."

"Oh, I will. But I was thumbing through Crown Diamond while I waited, and here's just one thing I have to say." Zero thwacked her on the head with the book, said, "The fireworks were a little much!" and ran for it, closely pursued by security.

Parker whistled her approval, applauding. Security just glared at her and folded their arms, so Parker took the hint and followed Zero out.
