Settling In

This school scares the hell out of me. But in a good way.

I've finally got a dorm room, and a roommate. _jubilation_lee an' me are sharing 220. S'great, the closets are huge. I think they might be extradimensional or something. Lots of stuff here's weird like that. Jubilee seems totally swerval, too. She says she likes loud music, and so far she hasn't said anything about Fish, so that's good. I don't know if we're actually allowed to have pets or not, but whatever.

Speaking of, the mini-yeti things in the common room are still holding half my stuff hostage. Some really cute guy whose name I didn't catch tried to help me get it back last night, but we fled when they started climbing his leg. I'm trying to rustle up some help for another attempt.

Poor janet_fraiser spent half the day locked in the bathroom with a tentacle...thing. I tried pickin' the lock, but the bastard that put her in there had banged the thing up too bad for a couple of paperclips to cut it. Note to self: Call Arsenal and get her to send me a proper lock-picking kit. And some brass knuckles.

Let's see...what else? Still waiting to hear back on the librarian assistant position, but Professor Methos got suddenly distracted right after we got Janet out of the bathroom and wandered off, so I dunno, it might be a while on that one. All my professors seem really swerval so far, and I'm really hyped about my science classes. I need to find out if my chem credits from Flange will transfer. Oh, and I signed up for the fencing club and the music club, though I'll probably have to drop fencing if I get the library job. The librarian's got some kinda hangup about swords, in that no one but him can have one.
