Yes, Zero got back to her room sometime last night. She then slept until about two, as was her usual mode of operation on Saturdays, before handwavily shopping for provisions for the charity brunch tomorrow.

Now she has the door propped open with her handy brick and is sprawled out on the bed she uses as a sofa, watching TV and drinking a chocolate milkshake provided by her minifridge. Fish is perched on the bedframe, a strawberry milkshake of his own (to match his feathers) on the dresser next to him.

Life is good.

"Knockity, knock." Parker leaned in the doorway, dressed to kill, wearing that same blue Armani from Tuesday. "Hey. How's it going? Hey, Fish."

"Thanks, and they're gorgeous." Parker's smile widened. "Are they from Date Boy? And you look pretty happy. I'm assuming there were no disasters this time?"

And the thing was, Parker had to actually wonder for a second if that were true. "Did you kick their asses? Or just break their kneecaps to get him back?"

Parker started laughing. "Did they rip him limb from limb from limb from limb from--"

Giggling, Parker said, "I don't know! We could go ask Dr. Grissom?" Then she fell onto Zero's bed, snickering.

"Okay, a new woooord. He deserves a new word?" Parker grinned. "Awwwww."

Then she slapped a hand over her mouth. "I meant, yay!"

"We are easily amused. But in our defense, you and Peter are as entertaining as Saturday morning cartoons. Seriously. You should be on MTV Free Swim or something."

"And I'm going over to see Jarod." She grinned, and caught the pillow. "Maybe, if I can manage it, spending the night."

Parker laughed a little breathlessly, then tossed the pillow back at Zero. "I would hope so. Not that I'm telling him I'm spending the night, probably. I plan on 'falling asleep' there if I have to."

Parker glared at Zero a moment. "Hey. My wiles are worth way more than Dallas and Wendy, damnit. Or Goldie and her damn mask." She started grinning. "Besides I have an advantage. He loves me." She threw the pillow back again. "But I am out of here to the record store for a prezzie, then I'll see you tomorrow at the Teal Deer Luncheon, I guess. Why are they endangered, anyway?"

"Ack. And yes. Although, not in a dirty way."

Parker looked very thoughtful, then bounced up from the bed and headed for the door.

"Okay, going away before I overshare. Glad you had a good date and that Peter hasn't been eviscerated. Call if anything changes, bye!"

After room switching

Since Peter just happened to be on the second floor anyway and, oh look, here was an open door, Peter decided to stop by Zero's room.

"Hey," he said, sticking his head in. "I just wanted to warn you, I may be dead by this time tomorrow."

"Correct. Nothing," Peter said. "But Rory may kill me. All the stuff in her and Bridge's rooms got switched somehow. They may blame me for some reason."

*shuts the door* *insert lame "Action is his reward" pun here again* "Clearly the gremlins. The ones who survived are clearly stronger, so they'd be able to carry all of that stuff easily."

"I think Bridge will probably move to get revenge through another prank, but Rory wasn't in a great mood to begin with. Hopefully the murderous rage distracts her from moping."

Punk porn music? "They're also stealthy gremlins. Who can shapeshift. And made themselves look like me and John."

"You'll be the first person I call next time I need revenge," Peter said with a grin. "And Rory..." Peter glanced at the open door and decided to be somewhat discreet. "Let's just say that we both know something about her complete and total lack of a love life, except I have more updated information. Namely that her complete and total lack of a love life is apparently an actual complete and total lack of a love life now, if you get my meaning. And thus, moping."

*shuts up and moves* "I just hope they can't forge state IDs, too. That would suck."

"Yeah, I know. I just hope that she had some fun instead of just being mopey tonight. And before turning to murderous rage against me, obviously."

"I appreciate it," Peter said. "Although if her evil Crazy Hooker twin couldn't kill me, I doubt she could either. It might not stop her from trying, though."

"Anyway, how are you?"

"I don't squish people anyway. I just stop them from committing crimes and leave them for the police," Peter said.

Peter grinned back. "I'm good good. I'm going to see a woman at the FTEC on Monday about getting my extra arms taken off, I had fun with John, and, well, hey, I'm here. All parts of a good day, when you get right down to it."

"I talked to some guy at the clinic who doesn't handle the weird stuff. But I guess this woman's a witch. I'm not huge on magic or anything, but it's worth a shot. We'll see what happens," Peter said.

"I'm glad I could make such an impact on your day. I'll probably have to stop by the second floor more often now."

"Thanks," Peter said. "Yes, definitely stop by the third floor. It's much cooler than people give it credit for."

Peter looked at his watch. "I have no clue when Bridge and Rory will be getting to their rooms, so I should probably get going and create a nice baracade at my door to buy myself some time if they come to get me tonight."

"Just in case I lose at not dying, though..." Peter moved over to Zero and kissed her. "Okay, I can die happy now."
