Down by the Causeway, Lunch Hour
The taxi drops Emma, Toby, Flora, and their equipment off, then speeds away almost before Zero can pay him. She sighs. "They do that so often. Hey, guys!"
"I'm not even going to ask how you arranged this with the parents," Emma says, shouldering her bass case. Also: does your school have amps? We couldn't exactly fit them in the overhead bin."
"They should. I'll talk to the professor after music theory. I need to ask him about drums, too."
"Yes, you do," Flora agreed. "Any hot boys up there at Fandom High?"
"A few. Watch out for that Han Solo, though. He snuck into the girls' showers the other day."
"Perv," Toby said, shouldering Emma's backpack in addition to his own bag. "Lead on, Zee. Are we hiding out in your room or what?"
"I have classes all afternoon, but you can hang in the second floor common room. Or the library, so long as you don't call the librarian a monkey. I've heard bad reports of that."
